Max Rudolph is the founder of Rudolph Financial Consulting, LLC in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. His practice focuses on risk management tools that help organizations make better decisions by extending strategic time horizons, leveraging regulatory tools and using common sense (he does not provide investment advice). A frequent presenter and award winning author, Max is noted for his annual financial predictions and risk network. He is a private investor, an adjunct professor in the Heider School of Business of Creighton University, and has served on the boards of the Society of Actuaries (SOA), the Nebraska Actuaries Club and CFA Nebraska. His strategic vision is illustrated by his long association with topics like emerging risks, pandemics and interest rates. Max has helped insurance companies develop and improve an enterprise risk management (ERM) process, provided advice for companies preparing for the ORSA regulation, and peer reviewed asset-liability management (ALM) practices. Max has completed research projects covering topics such as emerging risks, low economic growth, ALM, climate change, pandemics, investment strategies, forecasting, value investing, interest rate risk, systemic risk, and ERM at health insurers. He was named a thought leader in the ERM discipline, received the SOA President’s Award (twice) and has spoken at many universities and seminars. He has a long history of volunteer service, including Chair of the Investment Section, Investment Actuary Symposium, and ERM Symposium. He served on the Actuarial Standard Board’s Enterprise Risk Management Task Force that developed Actuarial Standards of Practice 46 and 47 on ERM, along with ASOP 55 Capital Adequacy Analysis.
