Mike Boot is now retired and still volunteers for the Society of Actuaries. Boot previously served as Managing Director of the Engagement Division of the Society of Actuaries. He joined the SOA in August 2006. Boot has more than 40 years of experience in life insurance, long-term care and pensions. His actuarial experience includes working with a major multi-line insurer in a variety of product development and management roles. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
