This role supports the research activities of the Mortality and Longevity Research Program Steering Committee, providing actuaries with valuable up-to-date information on mortality, mortality improvement, and longevity trends and the factors impacting them, enabling actuaries to make more informed and accurate decisions.
Responsibilities & Duties
Attend and participate in periodic conference call meetings. Brainstorm, generate, vet, and prioritize research ideas from Asia Pacific market and SOA member perspective. Identify and recommend projects to Mortality and Longevity Program Steering Committee for funding consideration. For those ideas funded, develop implementation strategy for completion and manage overall process.
Time Commitment
Subteam members have a 1 year commitment. Time commitment and number of hours are 2 hours per month for a 12-month period including 1-hour conference calls.
