Description
The SOA is looking for actuaries with experience in Group & Health or related areas to sort exam papers for:
· Group & Health Risk Mitigation Exam
· Group & Health Valuation and Regulation Exam
· Group & Health Design and Pricing Exam
*You will select one G&H exam that you prefer to sort for within the application form.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the SOA Education Confidentiality Agreement.
- Sorting process starts with the SOA providing access to grading files targeted for Friday, May 12, 2023.
- Sorting:
- Each Sorter will be given 3 to 5 questions to sort, so 60 to 100 exam papers in total to review. For each paper, the Sorter is asked to assess the quality of the candidate’s answer as “definite pass”, “marginal pass”, “marginal fail” or “definite fail”.
- Sorters are asked to submit sorting results by Sunday, May 28, 2023.
- No travel is involved for Sorters.
Time Commitment
· Sorters generally sort 3-5 exam questions.
· Sorting assignments generally take about 10 hours in total to complete.
Experience Required
· Must be FSA
· Must have expertise in at least part of the Group and Health exam syllabus
· Individuals pursuing their ERM designation are ineligible to volunteer for G & H Exam activities
