How does this role benefit the work of the organization and the profession?           

This role will serve as the first connection many high-school students have to the actuarial field. Your participation will help inspire the next generation of actuaries. 

Responsibilities & Duties

Volunteers will serve as table captains - assisting 4-8 students with a series of problem-solving activities. Volunteers should be encouraging and open to speaking about their path to becoming an actuary. 

Time Commitment

  • 5–10 hours
  • Events runs approximately 8:30am-2:00pm on March 5th.

Member, Non-Member or Candidate

Travel Required

Local volunteers only - University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA 

SOA Training Required

A conference call training will be set up a couple of days prior to the event to run through all activities and schedule of the day.
