How does this role benefit the work of the organization and the profession?

This role supports the engagement and education of the profession. Through educating potential student influencers and students, we hope to spread awareness of the profession and increase/diversify pipeline efforts.

The NCTM Annual Meeting & Exposition attracts the most top-level professionals in the mathematics education marketplace. These are the people who shape the industry.

 
Responsibilities & Duties
  • You will be an exhibitor for our Be An Actuary Booth.
  • Set up tabling material
  • Interact with attendees, answering questions about the profession and encouraging student interest/engagement in the profession.
  • Breakdown of the table at the end of the event. (Depending on the day assigned)
Time Commitment/Hours
5-10 hours- Exhibiting hours listed below.
Time Commitment - Description 
Exhibit Hours- You can volunteer for one or more of the exhibiting days.
Wed., Oct. 28, 2026………….4:00-6:00 P.M.
Thurs., Oct. 29,2026….9:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M.
Fri., Oct. 30, 2026……..9:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M.
Experience Required - Designation
Member, Non-Member, Candidate
Experience Required - Description
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with educators and students. Prior experience with outreach, teaching, or professional presentations preferred.

Travel Required
Event will take place in Colorado Convention Center | 700 14th St, Denver, CO 80202

Prefer Volunteers from Denver or surrounding areas.

SOA Training Required
No Training: Recruiter will reach out after selection with more information about the exhibit and to get you registered for the event.
