This role supports the foundational education and credential activities of the SOA and helps to ensure the integrity of the SOA’s credentials
Responsibilities & Duties
Seeking volunteers to grade written answer questions for the LTAM exams. Individuals should
- Review syllabus material relevant to one exam question
- Comment on solution(s) and grading rubric
- Have a willingness to learn the Grading process and meet deadlines
- Liaise and interface with: LTAM Exam Chairperson and SOA Staff
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the SOA Education Confidentiality Agreement
Time Commitment
- Total of 2-3 hours for 2 conference calls prior to first grading
- Approximately 20-30 hours for first grading in May
- 1 to 1 ½ day at a Central Grading session in June
Experience Required
- Must be FSA or Career ASA (no intention of taking further exams and agreeing to not take exams for twelve months after leaving committee)
- Familiarity with the LTAM syllabus material

Members resident in U.S and Canada only
Travel Required
- Attendance at a 1 ½ -day grading meeting in early June.
- Travel expenses are reimbursed by the SOA, within current guidelines.
