This role supports the education and credential activities of the SOA, continually developing pertinent content, both foundational and advanced, to ensure the integrity of the SOA's credentials. The work can be used to satisfy continuing education requirements if deemed appropriate and it is a chance to give back and participate in the process of helping to develop and select new FSAs.
Description
The SOA is looking for new actuaries with interest in quantitative financial and investment areas to write questions for QFI ADV Exam committee
Responsibilities & Duties
- Draft and revise, as needed, one high-quality question over a four-month period, including its rubrics on the assigned materials
- Grade the question later, if desirable, if it is on the exam
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the SOA Education Confidentiality Agreement
Time Commitment
- 20 hours
- Approximately 20 hours at home over a period of four months, starting from February to June. Go over the materials assigned to you to create questions. Work closely with your Consolidator to draft and revise questions and rubrics in a template.
Experience Required
- Must be FSA
- QFI track experience is a plus
