This is a great opportunity for our seasoned SOA members to offer practical advice and guide the new generation of actuaries to help them succeed in their actuarial journeys.
Responsibilities & Duties
Volunteers will be paired with one or two candidates attending the SOA 2025 Candidate Connect ImpACT Conference, to conduct mock interviews and review their resumes. The Engagement team will provide resources to the volunteers with questions and best practice advice for interviews and resume reviews.

Time Commitment - Description *
This is a one-time opportunity. It will require some prep work, including reviewing the resume/s ahead of time, and picking the questions for the interview from the list provided. This should not take more than one hour. The day of the event will require volunteers to engage with the candidates for a maximum of one hour, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.

SOA members with a passion for the profession and some knowledge of the actuarial job/internship market. Recent job seekers, or members in charge of hiring actuaries and interns, would be a great addition, but everyone is welcome.
