How does this role benefit the work of the organization and the profession?
This role supports the engagement and education of the profession at the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) in Spokane, Washington. Through educating potential student influencers and students, we hope to spread awareness of the profession and increase pipeline efforts. The Annual AISES National Conference is a unique, three-day event focusing on educational, professional, and workforce development for Indigenous peoples of North America and the Pacific Islands in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) studies and careers.
Responsibilities & Duties
-Set up tabling material (Depending on day assigned)
-Interact with attendees, answering questions about the profession and encouraging student interest/engagement in the profession.
-Break down of table at the end of the event. (Depending on day assigned)
