This role strengthens SOA’s presence within the IAA and the global community. It contributes to the organization’s representation in the global landscape, a strategic area for the SOA. Participation in this forum benefits the SOA by providing important information on health and providing the SOA with important research and expertise on the topic. Collaboration to advance the profession with innovative projects ensures actuaries remain adaptable and relevant in a rapidly evolving field.
 
Responsibilities & Duties
This volunteer role is to serve as an SOA delegate to the Health Forum. The role and duties within its purpose are:
 
Time Commitment/Hours
11-20 hours 
 
Time Commitment - Description *
Forum meets virtually 4 times a year for 1 hour, with additional meetings when necessary
 
Experience Required - Designation
Member ASA or FSA
 
Experience Required - Description
The delegate needs to be an SOA member (ASA/FSA) and have a deep understanding of the evolving industry landscape and extensive knowledge of the health area of expertise. Delegates also need to have a good understanding of SOA.
