This role supports the research activities of the SOA, providing actuaries with valuable up-to-the-minute data on climate related (or mortality, health, living longer, pension plans, etc.) issues, enabling them to make more informed and accurate decisions.

Responsibilities & Duties

Review draft material and provide feedback to the researchers for the project "Using Extreme Weather Event Attribution to Determine the Impacts of Climate Change on Human Health". All work is done via email and conference calls.

Time Commitment

  • 11 to 20 hours
  • Most time will consist of periodic conference calls, most likely monthly, and reviewing drafts of the research report.
