How does this role benefit the work of the organization and the profession? *

This role supports health research activities at the SOA Research Institute. The goal of this research project is to help Medicaid Actuaries and their States and Health plans anticipate the impacts of the end of the public health emergency. This research will lnclude a model for different scenarios as well as a summary paper that describes and summarizes the results of the research and calls out different potential outcomes.

Responsibilities & Duties *

The duties of this role include: Reviewing the model that the researchers will build as well as the written report which will summarize the results and present different scenarios. Reviews will be primarily for content from actuarial and non-actuarial perspectives.

Time Commitment - Hours *

11 to 20 hours

Time Commitment - Description *

Time commitment includes attending 5-10 hours of meetings and where researchers will present their findings and give updates. Another 5-10 will be dedicated to reviewing the PHE projection model and the research report.

Member, Non-Member or Candidate

Experience Required - Description

All levels of experience are welcome. Individuals with Managed Medicaid experience will best able to understand and contribute to the POG.

Travel Required *

No travel required. Other countries are welcome, but the content will be primarily focused on the US Medicaid system.
