The Society of Actuaries is committed to increasing diversity in the profession and, in partnership with the Casualty Actuarial Society, sponsors many initiatives to promote actuarial science to minority students. One of these initiatives is exhibiting of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) conference.
Responsibilities & Duties
AISES will be hosting its annual celebration of science, culture, and community this year in Milwaukee and we are in need of local SOA volunteers. As part of our sponsorship, we have an exhibitor booth at the AISES convention at the Wisconsin Center. The exhibitor booth will be open on Friday October 11th, and we’re looking for volunteers that day to speak to participants about the actuarial profession and scholarships that are available on the joint SOA/CAS website- BeAnActuary.org.
Time Commitment
- 4 or fewer hours
- Shifts of 4 hours
Experience Required
Member or Candidate
Any Member or Candidate with knowledge of the actuarial career path and exams
