This role supports the research activities of the SOA, providing actuaries with valuable up-to-the-minute data on climate related (or mortality, health, living longer, pension plans, etc.) issues, enabling them to make more informed and accurate decisions.

 

Responsibilities & Duties

Review draft material and provide feedback to the researchers for the project "Modelling, Measuring and Pricing the Flood Risk: An Actuarial Perspective". All work is done via email and conference calls.

 

Time Commitment

  • 11 to 20 Hours
  • The time commitment will consist of periodic conference calls, most likely monthly, and reviewing drafts of the research report.
