The role supports the research activities of the Mortality & Longevity Program Strategic Committee (MLPSC). Volunteers on a Project Oversight Group help to ensure a quality SOARI research product that will educate and inform actuaries and others on trends in how younger generation consumers understand, investigate, and purchase private insurance plans.
Responsibilities & Duties
The Project Oversight Group members will:
- finalize the project scope and set expectations in collaboration with the researcher,
- provide guidance in the form of insights, experience, expertise and knowledge,
- review draft material and provide feedback to the researcher, and
- advise on appropriate forms of dissemination of results.
Time Commitment
- 21 to 40 hours
- Research project normally lasts 6-9 months
- Time commitment and number of hours - 3 hours per month for a six to nine month period including 1-hour conference calls.
