Description:

How does this role benefit the work of the organization and the profession? *

Disparities in the Pursuit of Financial Security in Retirement by Race and Ethnicity: A Review of the Disparities and Key Metrics to Monitor Them in the Future (April 2022) https://www.soa.org/resources/research-reports/2022/financial-disparities/identifies several metrics for tracking disparities in retirement preparedness across races/ethnicities and socioeconomic factors. However, limited research is currently available that looks at combinations of races/ethnicities, age and income levels. Understanding how the metrics differ by these combinations is critical to drawing meaningful conclusions to the question of disparities across races/ethnicities and gender. This research project would seek to quantify the differences by these combinations as well as to differentiate by levels of financial literacy.
