This role supports the research activities of the Financial Reporting Section and the Joint Risk Management Research Committee, providing actuaries with valuable information on macroeconomics base economics, enabling them to make more informed and accurate decisions.
Responsibilities & Duties
Attend and participate in periodic conference call meetings. Provide guidance in the form of insights, experience, expertise and knowledge. Work closely with hired researcher and review draft material and provide feedback to researcher for the project that proposes a new economic scenario generation approach utilizing a macroeconomic method, advise on appropriate forms of dissemination of the results.
Time Commitment
- 21-40 hours
- Time commitment and number of hours are expected to be 3 hours per month for a 12 month period including 1-hour conference calls.
Experience Required
- Member ASA or FSA
- Knowledge of life insurance, risk management, modeling expertise, economic scenario generators, capital management.
