Volunteers on this subgroup will help to ensure a quality SOA experience studies product, which results in providing the profession reliable and practical tools/information.
Responsibilities & Duties
We are seeking volunteers with the willingness and ability to work with large datasets of individual life aggregated mortality experience. Knowledge of SQL, R and/or other data manipulation and analysis software along with experience with graduation techniques and multivariate analysis will be needed.
Members are expected to review and complete action assignments prior to conference calls and provide input during the calls. It is expected that there will be one-hour conference calls approximately bi-monthly for the duration of the project. There will also be periodic assignments to perform analysis on the data outside of the calls.
Time Commitment
- 60 to 100 hours spread over a 24 month period
- Most time will be spent in completing the analyses outside of the conference calls
