The role supports the research activities of the Product Development, Financial Reporting, Reinsurance and Modeling Sections. It provides actuaries with valuable information on incorporating industry mortality table features in mortality predictive models.
Responsibilities & Duties
Provide guidance in the form of insights, experience, expertise and knowledge for a study that develops an approach to incorporate industry mortality table features in mortality predictive models.
- Project Oversight Group will finalize project scope and set expectations in collaboration with researcher.
- Review draft material and provide feedback to researcher and advise on appropriate forms of dissemination of the results.
Time Commitment
- 21 to 40 hours
- Research projects normally lasts 6-9 months. Time commitment and number of hours 3- hours per month for a six to nine-month period including 1-hour conference calls.
Experience Required
- Member ASA or FSA
- Mortality modeling, predictive modeling
