This role supports the research activities of the SOA, providing actuaries with valuable data on variable annuity issues, enabling them to make more informed and accurate decisions.
Responsibilities & Duties
Attend and participate in periodic conference call meetings. Provide guidance in the form of insights, experience, expertise and knowledge. Proactively raise concerns about the quality of the project work or other matters either on a POG conference call or, if more appropriate, in private communications (email, phone calls) with staff and the POG chair. Review draft materials for accuracy and quality.
Time Commitment
Monthly 1-hour conference calls for the duration of the study, plus independent review of the report materials.
Experience Required
- Member ASA or FSA
- Reasonable familiarity with variable annuity guaranteed living benefits.
