The Society of Actuaries is committed to increasing diversity in the profession and, in partnership with the Casualty Actuarial Society, sponsors many initiatives to promote actuarial science to teachers and students. One of these initiatives is the sponsorship of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM).
Responsibilities & Duties
NCTM will be hosting its annual conference this year in San Diego Convention Center from April 4-6 and we are in need of local SOA volunteers to staff our exhibitor booth. Volunteers those days will speak to participants about the actuarial profession and scholarships that are available on the joint SOA/CAS website- BeAnActuary.org.
Time Commitment
- Up to 10 hours
- The conference exhibit hall is open:
April 4: 9am-5pm
April 5: 9am-5pm
April 6: 9am-12pm
*Please indicate if you're available for only part of the days, or multiple days. Parking and meal expenses will be reimbursed.
