The Society of Actuaries is committed to increasing diversity and participates in events to promote actuarial science to teachers and students. 

Responsibilities & Duties

Speak to a group of elementary school students about the actuarial profession - including your day-to-day life and career path. Presenters will have 10-15 minutes to talk before moving to a different classroom.

Time Commitment

4 hours or fewer

Presenters needed for one hour. 

Experience Required

Member ASA or FSA 

Opportunity Location

U.S. only

School is in Queens/Woodside N.Y. - only local actuaries are needed 

Travel Required

n/a- but may be asked to attend an in-person meeting once a year if available
