Responsibilities & Duties
Participates in the development of new content for pre-qualification FSA track-specific module including:
- Participate in committee review of course of reading, learning objectives and learning outcomes
- Develop new content, assessment questions and End of Module Exercises
- Identify source material to be used to reinforce learning
- Present ideas for case study materials (including excel reports and instruction files)
- Liaise and interface with:
- FSA Module Chairperson
- Other Module Committee Members
- Section Education Liaisons (as needed)
- SOA Staff
Time Commitment
- 100 to 150 hours
- 18 month project starting in late 2017 with an anticipated delivery date of June 2019
- Two‐day module committee meetings for face‐to‐face course development and review, twice per year
- Weekly or bi-weekly module committee teleconferences to begin after first face-to-face meeting
- Research and content development
Experience Required
- Must be FSA member in good standing with the SOA
- General understanding of SOA Education System
- Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines
- Individual should possess initiative, creativity, and strong communication and organizational skills
- Compliant with SOA Conflict of Interest policy and Confidentiality Agreement
- Familiarity with course of reading, nature of SOA examinations and practice area(s) relevant to Track
