The role supports the research activities of the Committee on Life Insurance Research, the Product Development, Financial Reporting and Small Company Sections. It provides actuaries with valuable information on individual life simplified underwriting practices.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide guidance in the form of insights, experience, expertise and knowledge for a study on individual life simplified underwriting practices
- Project Oversight Group will finalize project scope and set expectations in collaboration with researcher.
- Review draft material and provide feedback to researcher and advise on appropriate forms of dissemination of the results.
Time Commitment
- 21 to 40 hours
- Research projects normally lasts 6-9 months. Time commitment and number of hours 3- hours per month for a six to nine-month period including 1-hour conference calls.
Experience Required
- Member ASA or FSA
- Knowledge of simplified underwriting
