How does this role benefit the work of the organization and the profession?
This role directly supports the SOA’s mission to grow and diversify the actuarial talent pipeline by engaging local high school and college students at two outreach events in Louisville. Volunteers will serve as career ambassadors, inspire future actuaries, and help foster a stronger, more connected actuarial community.
Responsibilities & Duties
Volunteers will participate in an actuarial panel, including Q&A. We also need volunteers to sit with students at each table, answer questions, share career insights, and help make activities run smoothly. You’ll play a key role in sparking interest in the actuarial field—whether by supporting games, joining a panel, or simply being an encouraging presence throughout the event.
