How does this role benefit the work of the organization and the profession?
This role supports the engagement and education of the profession. Through educating potential student influencers and students, we hope to spread awareness of the profession and increase/diversify pipeline efforts.
This role supports ASCA’s mission to advance the school counseling profession by bringing actuarial and data‑driven perspectives to conference programming, professional learning, and outreach efforts. By contributing analytical expertise, this role helps strengthen evidence‑based decision‑making, promotes a deeper understanding of risk, forecasting, and long‑term outcomes, and enhances the value of ASCA’s offerings to members. 
 
Responsibilities & Duties
  • You will be an exhibitor for our Be An Actuary Booth.
  • Set up tabling material
  • Interact with attendees, answering questions about the profession and encouraging student interest/engagement in the profession.
  • Breakdown of the table at the end of the event. (Depending on the day assigned)
Time Commitment/Hours
5-10 hours, 11-20 hours
Time Commitment - Description 
Time commitment may include preparatory work before the conference (approximately 2–5 hours), participation during the ASCA 2026 Annual Conference (including sessions or scheduled engagements), and limited follow‑up as needed. The role is short‑term and conference‑focused, with most activity concentrated around the event dates.

Exhibit Hours- You can volunteer for one or more of the exhibiting days.

  • Saturday, July 11 8–10 a.m. Exhibitor Set-up
    12–5 p.m. Exhibit Hall Open
  • Sunday, July 12 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Exhibit Hall Open
  • Monday, July 13 9 a.m.–2 p.m. Exhibit Hall Open
    2–6 p.m. Exhibitor Move Out
Experience Required - Designation
Member, Non-Member, Candidate
Experience Required - Description
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with educators and students. Prior experience with outreach, teaching, or professional presentations preferred.
