This role supports the education and credential activities of the SOA, developing new and innovative content, both foundational and advanced, to strengthen the integrity of the SOA's credentials. 

Description:

The Entrepreneurial & Innovation Section is launching an Innovation Competition to encourage sharing creativity and ideation among SOA members. They are seeking volunteers to assist with the development of the competition as well as to judge competition entries. 

The committee will begin its work on October 15, 2018 and will continue for one year. 

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Participate in quarterly 1-hour conference call meetings
  • Each call will update progress, address new concerns, and discuss next set of actions
  • Assist in development of marketing plan to promote the Innovation Competition
  • Read, review, and judge submissions based on approved guidelines 

Time Commitment

  • 2-3 hours a month
  • The committee has a one-year term 

Experience Required

  • Must be an ASA or FSA
  • Must be a member of the Entrepreneurial & Innovation Section
  • Fluency in English language
