This roles supports the education and credential activities of the SOA, continually developing pertinent content, both foundational and advanced, to ensure the integrity of the SOA’s credentials.
Responsibilities & Duties
Participates in the development of new content for pre-qualification FSA track-specific module including:
- Writing foundational concepts as it applies to the actuarial candidate
- Identify source material to be used to reinforce learning
- Present ideas for case study materials (including excel reports and instruction files)
- Liaise and interface with:
o FSA Module Chairperson
o Other Module Committee Members
o Section Education Liaisons (as needed)
o SOA Staff
Time Commitment
- 60 to 70 hours
- 12 month project with an anticipated delivery date of June 2019
- Research and developing content
- Bi-weekly module committee teleconferences
Experience Required
- Must be FSA member in good standing with the SOA
- General understanding of SOA Education System
- Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines
- Individual should possess initiative, creativity, and strong communication and organizational skills
