The MIM Advisory Group guides the development and enhancement of the SOA Research Institute’s Mortality Improvement Model in support of the goals of the Mortality and Longevity Strategic Research Program and provides the profession reliable and practical tools/information.
Responsibilities & Duties
The MIM Advisory Group is primarily responsible for charting, developing, and implementing an overall structure for the Mortality Improvement Model. Members of the MIM Advisory Group will establish objectives, outline work needed, perform the work as needed, oversee the progress of the work, review deliverables to ensure it is in line with objectives. MIM Advisory Group members are expected to review draft materials prior to conference calls and provide input during the calls. It is expected that there will be one-hour conference calls approximately monthly for the duration of the project.

21-40 hours
Time Commitment - Description *
Members are expected to serve at least a year and attend on average one one - hour conference call each month. There will be 30-60 minutes of reading/reviewing of materials to prepare for the calls.

Experience Required - Description
Experience and subject matter expertise consistent with a research focus is preferred. It is beneficial, although not required, that MIM Advisory Group members have previous experience with various types of SOA research.
