Responsibilities & Duties
- Participate in drafting and reviewing questions for examinations
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the SOA Education Confidentiality Agreement
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Time Commitment
- 20 to 40 hours
- Approximately 20 hours per year plus additional travel time to meetings at which questions are reviewed.
- Four year term, renewable one time
Experience Required
- Member ASA or FSA
- Must either be an FSA or an ASA no longer taking exams. Demonstrated knowledge of some of the predictive analytics topics covered on this exam (generalized linear model, time series, principal components analysis, clustering).

Travel Required
Attend up to two on-site meetings per year. This only applies to volunteers located in North America. No volunteers outside of North America will attend these meetings.
SOA Training Required
Must attend in-person or online Item Writer Training
