Responsibilities & Duties
- Looking for reviewers and editors for the following Section Newsletters: Joint Risk Management, Pension, Product Development, Reinsurance
- Review and edit article(s) for Section Newsletter; ensure Canadian relevancy when appropriate for article content
- Working with Newsletter editor and/or author, edit content, if necessary, to increase Canadian appeal (e.g., where the original articles refers to U.S., consider suggesting the removal of ‘U.S.’ or the addition of ‘and Canada’, if appropriate
- If appropriate, add a section to the article with a Canadian perspective
This volunteer position assists in identifying and reviewing content that is relevant for Canadian actuaries to help them stay up-to-date on pertinent issues and develop as technical experts, business professionals and leaders. Access to expert information equips actuaries and the organizations they serve to effectively measure and manage risk.
Time Commitment - Hours
4 or fewer hours; One time activity for a single article
Experience Required - Description
- FSA, ASA, FCIA or ACIA preferred
- Reviewers must be subject matter experts in their respective fields
- Fluency in English language – writing and grammar
- Time management
