Responsibilities & Duties
There are multiple positions open for presenters and moderators at the 2017 SOA Life & Annuity Symposium. Please see the Life & Annuity Symposium Call for Presenters webpage for details about the sessions that are recruiting. Once you have identified a session that interests you, please apply to this opportunity and list the session titles and numbers on the application form.
Requirements for these opportunities:
- Must be subject matter expert in the session topic
- Must be able to travel to meeting location
Responsibilities and Duties for Presenters:
- Provide knowledge of late breaking trends on pertinent topics
- Be a reliable source of knowledge and information on specific subject matter
- Develop presentation materials, if needed
- Be capable of handling questions and feedback from audience members
- Possess ability to professionally present information in front of a large audience of your peers
Responsibilities and Duties for Moderators:
- Ability to present in front of a large audience of your peers
- Be capable of coordinating questions and feedback from audience members with presenter(s)
Time Commitment
- 11-20 hours for presenters, less for moderators
- Depending on the subject matter and the time needed to develop the materials for the session, the time commitment may be more or less than listed above.
