- Present or moderate a panel on Canadian-relevant content via meeting sessions or webcasts
Responsibilities and Duties for Presenters:
- Provide knowledge of late breaking trends on pertinent topics
- Be a reliable source of knowledge and information on specific subject matter
- Develop presentation materials, if needed
- Be capable of handling questions and feedback from audience members
- Possess ability to professionally present information in front of a large audience of your peers
Responsibilities and Duties for Moderators:
- Ability to present in front of a large audience of your peers
- Be capable of coordinating questions and feedback from audience members with presenter(s)
- Travel to a meeting location, if required
This volunteer position assists in developing and presenting content that is relevant for Canadian actuaries to help them stay up-to-date on pertinent issues and develop as technical experts, business professionals and leaders. Access to expert information equips actuaries and the organizations they serve to effectively measure and manage risk.
Time Commitment
4 to 10 hours; one time activity
Expertise Required
- FSA, ASA, FCIA or ACIA preferred
- Must be subject matter expert in respective field
- One or more of the following: presentation development; public speaking; mentoring potential speakers; delivery of training; facilitation; teaching; training development
