Responsibilities & Duties
- Looking for articles for the following Section newsletters: Joint Risk Management, Pension, Product Development, Reinsurance
- Write an article for Section Newsletter; ensure Canadian relevancy when appropriate for article content; author’s name will appear within article
- Identify key issues or hot topics of interest to section membership
- Develop content and write an article
- Work with publication’s Editor to ensure final content provides relevant information, including Canadian relevancy
- DEADLINE: Article must be submitted to Editor by established deadline
This volunteer position assists in identifying and composing content that is relevant for Canadian actuaries to help them stay up-to-date on pertinent issues and develop as technical experts, business professionals and leaders. Access to expert information equips actuaries and the organizations they serve to effectively measure and manage risk.
Time Commitment
4 or fewer hours; one time activity for a single article
Experience Required
- FSA, ASA, FCIA or ACIA preferred
- Authors must be subject matter experts in their respective fields
- Fluency in English language – writing and grammar
- Time management
