Nan is VP and Reinsurance Actuary in Aflac. He joined Aflac in June 2023 for its capital modeling team with a focus on Aflac Re Bermuda pricing and valuation as well as Aflac corporate capital modeling. Prior to joining Aflac, he worked in Chubb Life for 2 years for its international business on GAAP LDTI, IFRS 17 and other initiatives. Prior to that he worked in Prudential for about 10 years with most recently its International Business, where his primary engagement was IFRS 17 and LDTI implementation, Prophet modeling, risk and capital reporting. Prior to that, Nan was leading the company and regulatory risk stress testing and methodologies for 2 years in Prudential ERM, and was responsible for pricing, longevity underwriting, modeling, product development and research for 4 years in Prudential Retirement. Nan has a BS in mathematics from Shandong University and a PhD in mathematics from Auburn University. Nan is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
